Tuberose began with a simple frustration — Mumbai had plenty of rooms for hire, but very few that felt designed. So we built one.
Between us, we’ve produced podcasts, taught yoga, choreographed for films, and shot brand campaigns — and we kept showing up to spaces that almost worked. Wrong light. Echoey rooms. A power outlet six metres from the camera. Tuberose is our answer to all of those tiny, exhausting compromises.
It’s a working studio that takes its work seriously, with the kind of polish you’d expect from somewhere far more pretentious — and none of the attitude.
Soft, north-facing daylight that flatters faces, fabrics and food. Dimmable warm lights for evenings. We obsess over this so you don’t have to.
An open floor that adapts in minutes. No clutter, no awkward columns, no surprise corners eating into your shot.
Acoustic-treated walls, plants you can hear breathing, and a host who knows when to disappear and when to help.
Polished wooden floors with the right amount of give underfoot. Linen drapes that filter the afternoon sun. A neutral palette that photographs beautifully and disappears completely on camera when you need it to.
Forgiving for dancers, durable for tripods.
Concealable behind sliding panels when not in use.
Quiet enough for podcasts, lively enough for music.
Comfortable through the Mumbai summer, dry through the monsoon.
The easiest way to know if Tuberose works for your shoot or class is to step inside. Visits are free and informal.
